PM Modi's Spiritual Diving: Praying Underwater in Ancient Dwarka



On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi submerged himself in the waters of the historic city of Dwarka to engage in spiritual introspection. PM Modi conducted a special prayer session in the Arabian Sea, the supposed location of the ancient Dwarka city, with expert divers from the Indian Navy. Wearing traditional clothes and a diving helmet rather than a full diving gear, the prime minister offered prayers and paid respects with a symbolic peacock feather, demonstrating his strong bond with the historic city.








PM Modi demonstrated his dedication to the advancement of the area on Sunday by launching Sudarshan Setu and a number of other development projects during his two-day visit to Gujarat. The Prime Minister engaged with expert divers during an incredible underwater event that was documented by his humility and faith. PM Modi posted these incredible pictures to social media and described the event as a heavenly link to the spiritual legacy and unending devotion connected to Lord Krishna's bygone era.


Renowned for its long-standing connections to Lord Krishna, Dwarka is revered as a historical and religious site. Hinu mythology states that this city was Lord Krishna's earthly home following his victory over his uncle Kansa in Mathura. thought to have sunk decades ago beneath the sea, Dwarka is evidence of the area's rich religious and cultural heritage.

The Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, was originally built some 2,500 years ago, but Mahmud Begada's reign caused it to be demolished. It was reconstructed throughout the sixteenth century. During PM Modi's visit to Dwarka, the longest cable-stayed bridge in the country, the Sudarshan Setu, was opened. It connects Gujarat's Okha to Beyt Dwarka Island for a distance of 2.32 miles. The Prime Minister officially launched and laid the foundation for several projects for the city's development that totaled more than ₹4150 crores.
