IndiGo, renowned as one of India's favored air carriers, has extended its reach by adding Ayodhya to its list of destinations. This development marks the inclusion of Ayodhya as the airline's 6th domestic destination and the 118th overall destination in its expansive 6E network. The low-cost carrier is set to inaugurate its services with the first flight departing from the soon-to-be-opened Maryada Purshottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya, scheduled for December 30, 2023. Commercial operations for direct flights connecting Ayodhya and Delhi are expected to commence on January 6, 2024, with services to Ahmedabad commencing from January 11.
The strategic timing aligns with the forthcoming inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 2024. The introduction of these new flights is anticipated to cater to the increased travel demand, providing pilgrims with direct access to Ayodhya from major cities like Delhi and Ahmedabad, while seamlessly integrating into IndiGo's extensive 6E network, covering destinations across India and overseas.

Delhi-Ayodhya Flights
Starting from January 10, 2024, IndiGo will commence daily direct flights between Delhi and Ayodhya. The flight will depart from Delhi at 11:55 AM, reaching Ayodhya at 1:15 PM. The return journey will see the plane taking off from Ayodhya at 1:45 PM and landing in Delhi at 3:00 PM. The same schedule will be observed for the inaugural flight on January 6, 2024.
Delhi Ahmedabad Flight
For flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya, IndiGo has planned operations on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Departing from Ahmedabad at 9:10 AM, the flight is scheduled to arrive in Ayodhya at 11:00 AM. The return journey will see the plane departing from Ayodhya at 11:30 AM and landing in Ahmedabad at 1:40 PM.
