The inauguration ceremony in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh witnessed the transition of power to the newly elected leadership. Vishnu Deo Sai, an experienced four-time Lok Sabha MP and three-time state BJP chief, was inaugurated as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh in a momentous event attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Raipur. Arun Sao, the current state unit chief, and Vijay Sharma, an influential organisational leader, were also sworn in as the deputy chief ministers. The selection of the deputy chief ministers had been shrouded in secrecy, with the BJP and government officials keeping the names under wraps until the commencement of the ceremony.

Meanwhile, in a separate ceremony taking place at Bhopal's Lal Parade Ground, Mohan Yadav was inaugurated as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. This significant event was marked by the swearing in of Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda as his deputies. Yadav, a former education minister and a thrice-elected MLA from Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain South, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his new role. Devda, a representative of the Scheduled Caste (SC) community, and Shukla, an eminent figure in the Brahmin community in the Vindhya Pradesh region, represent the diverse fabric of the state's leadership.

The swearing-in ceremonies were characterized by an atmosphere of fervor and support, with the audience expressing their exuberance through chants such as 'mama, mama' upon the arrival of Chouhan, and resounding chants of 'Modi, Modi' echoing throughout the proceedings. The presence of prominent figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharasthra CM Eknath Shinde, and several central ministers underscored the significance of the occasion. Following the ceremonies, the distinguished leaders convened in Raipur to commemorate this momentous occasion in the political landscape of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
