OnePlus 12 and 12R Global Launch on January 23 with Exclusive Pricing Insights

OnePlus is set to unveil the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R globally on January 23, sharing pricing details ahead of the official launch. The flagship OnePlus 12 is anticipated to exceed its predecessor, the OnePlus 11, in cost. Conversely, the OnePlus 12R is expected to offer a budget-friendly alternative.

TechPlus, in a German report, discloses that the base model of the OnePlus 12R, featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, is projected to start at $499 (approximately Rs 35,000). The higher-tier variant, equipped with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, is slated at $599 (roughly Rs 42,000). Meanwhile, the OnePlus 12 has already made its debut in China, boasting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a robust 5,400mAh battery supported by 100W wired SuperVOOC charging.

The 'Smooth Beyond Belief' event on January 23 will mark the global launch of both the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R. Initially released in China last December, the OnePlus 12 commenced at CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs. 50,700) for the base configuration of 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

OnePlus has officially teased the OnePlus 12R, revealing its first image. A notable departure from its predecessor, the OnePlus 11R, the OnePlus 12R will be available in Cool Blue and Iron Gray colorways. The Cool Blue model sports a glossy finish, offering a fresh appearance, while the Iron Gray variant boasts a matte feel for a sophisticated and robust touch.

The handset maker has also confirmed the OnePlus 12R will feature its "biggest battery ever" and showcase a fourth-generation LTPO 120Hz ProXDR display. Although the screen size remains undisclosed, leaks suggest a substantial 6.78-inch panel. The inclusion of LTPO technology ensures an adaptive refresh rate, contributing to enhanced battery efficiency—a trend observed in leading Android smartphone models.
